Some patients may be sensitive to the ultrasound gel.

Who can use the device?

The Melmak Device is indicated for the treatment of fresh bone-fractures and established non-unions excluding treatment of the skull and the vertebral column.

Is the Melmak Bone Stimulator covered by my private insurance?

Bone stimulators are covered by most private health insurance companies. Our team can coordinate with your insurance company to confirm coverage and any paperwork required to complete the process. We can also handle any requests from WSIB and or a motor vehicle accident claim.

Can I complete multiple treatments per day?

According to clinical studies, 20 minutes per day is proven to be the most effective in healing the fracture. Completing multiple treatments has shown no added benefit.

When should I start treatment?

Treatment can be started at any stage of the healing process. Low Intensity Pulsed Ultrasound is effective during all three bone healing stages.

How long will I need the Melmak Bone Stimulator?

Different fractures heal at different rates. Please consult your physician to determine the necessary length to complete treatment.
